If a visit to the Bella Bru Café in Carmichael puts a smile on your face, chances are Andy Peterson had something to do with it.
As manager of the Carmichael location, it’s Andy’s job to maintain the café’s friendly environment and make sure customers are being treated like friends and neighbors, not just patrons. Hospitality is in Andy’s blood. In addition to working at Starbucks for seven years, he was a restaurant chef, general manager and trainer before joining Bella Bru in 2008.
Andy believes the best way to convey his expectations is to lead by example. Beginning at 6:30 most mornings, you can see Andy scurrying around, checking on customers, encouraging servers, busing a table or two. Andy’s committed to “doing the job right” – whatever it takes to create an ambience that he can be proud of and will keep customers coming back on a regular basis.
